Learn how to use Facebook tools to cover elections: get access to Signal in this free webinar

IJNet is partnering with Facebook to help journalists strengthen their coverage of the 2016 U.S. presidential elections. We are hosting a free webinar on Thursday, July 7 at 12 p.m. (EDT) that covers three tools: Signal, Facebook Live and the different uses for Pages vs. Profiles. The webinar, which will run for 60 minutes, will include off-the-record Q&A sessions.

Journalists who sign up will be given access to Signal, a curation tool that searches Facebook and Instagram for news trends, photos and videos, and is only available for select media professionals.

While journalists from any country can register for this training, for the moment Signal only curates U.S. news and is most useful for English-speaking journalists. The presentation will be in English and will focus on using these tools to supplement political coverage of U.S. elections.

This is a free seminar that will be hosted on Zoom — sign up here to reserve your spot! Space is limited.
