Tow-Knight Entrepreneurial Journalism Fellowship
Midcareer journalists who want to develop their own startup can apply for this program in New York.
The Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism at the City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism is accepting applications for the Tow-Knight Entrepreneurial Journalism Fellowship. The fellowship takes place Jan. 19 to May 20, 2016.
Fellow work on their own entrepreneurial journalism project – generally a journalism or media-related site, app, service or product – in addition to attending classes, workshops and events. At the end of the fellowship, they present their projects at a demo day open to invited journalists, investors and select guests.
Tuition is US$5,065 plus fees for New York State residents. For non-New York State residents, the cost is US$9,360 plus fees. Scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis, though they do not cover living expenses or travel.
The deadline is Oct. 23.
