Journalism Conference calls for papers

Journalists, journalism scholars, media executives, trade unionists and media regulators can submit their papers.

Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies will host its biennial conference „The Future of Journalism” on Sept. 10-11, 2015, in Cardiff, United Kingdom. The theme of the conference will be risks, threats and opportunities.

Papers can focus on any aspect of the broad theme, but priority will be given to those papers addressing one of the five subthemes:

  • Journalism and social media
  • Journalists at risk
  • Journalism under surveilance
  • Journalism and the fifth estate
  • Journalism’s values

A selection of the research-based papers presented at the conference will be published in special issues of the peer-reviewed journals „Digital Journalism,” „Journalism Practice” and „Journalism Studies.”

The deadline to submit abstracts is Jan. 9, 2015.
