National Geographic Traveler hosts photo contest

Photographers worldwide can submit digital photos to a contest.

The National Geographic Traveler photo contest seeks entries across four categories: travel portraits, outdoor scenes, sense of place and spontaneous moments.

The contest features prizes and gift certificates including an eight-day National Geographic Photo Expedition to Costa Rica and Panama Canal for two, a six-day National Geographic photo expedition covering Winter Wildlife in Yellowstone for two and a six-day Schooners Heritage and American Eagle Cruise for two.

Entrants must be of legal age in their residing country. The contest is void to residents of Cuba, Iran,  North Korea, Sudan, Syria and where prohibited. The entry fee is US$15.

The deadline to submit images is June 30.
