Summer school focuses on investigative journalism

Journalists from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia with at least three years of experience in journalism are eligible for a scholarship to attend this training.

The BIRN Summer School of Investigative Reporting is organizing a course in investigative journalism for experienced journalists Aug. 21 to 27 in Konjic, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The course will feature sessions on the latest techniques for searching the web and social media, interviewing techniques, working Participants will work on story ideas and be able to obtain funds for their investigations.

Journalists from non-Balkan countries can also enroll in the training. The cost is EUR750, which includes tuition, meals and accomodations.

The scholarship deadline is July 20.
