Tribeca Film Institute funds new media projects

Innovative projects that engage the audience in different ways are eligible for funding.

The Tribeca Film Institute is accepting applications for the New Media Fund, which will provide support to nonfiction, social issue media projects.

Projects must go beyond traditional screens – integrating video with content across media platforms, from video games and mobile apps to social networks and interactive websites. Possible topics include issues of contemporary social justice and equality around the world.

Two to four projects will be selected, each receiving US$50,000 to US$100,000 in funding.

Foreign language projects can compete, but must be subtitled and suitable for an American audience.

The deadline is May 12.
