Visual storytelling award open
Photographers and multimedia storytellers worldwide are eligible for this award.
AnthropoGraphia is accepting entries for its Human Rights through Visual Storytelling Award.
Judges will choose 12 photo-essays and six multimedia projects from the entries submitted. These will be chosen by a team of curators that includes Adrian Evans, director of Panos Pictures, and Shahidul Alam, photographer, writer, lecturer and human rights activist. Of these, AnthropoGraphia will grant a US$3,000 award to one outstanding visual storytelling essay.
Submitted pieces should focus on issues that are often marginalized by the mainstream media. Submissions must have a clear connection to human rights, and should be long-term, in-depth and cohesive bodies of work.
The deadline is May 7.
